Memorandum Of Understanding on academic exchange between Institute for Cosmic Ray Research, the University of Tokyo and Instituto de Astrofisica de Canarias

Agreement's object

The parties agree to implement exchanges and other activities in areas of academic research of mutual interest through the following.
-Exchange of faculty and administrative staff and researchers.
-Exchange of graduate students.
-Conducting collaborative research.
-Holding joint lectures and symposia.
-Exchange of academic information and materials

IAC's commitments

IAC shall allocate the office space for the visiting scientists and PhD students from CTA-Japan and CTA-LST in the CALP in La Palma. 

Other commitments

The ICRR / University of Tokyo shall procure the furniture, desks, chairs, computers and communication system to be used by its staff in accordance with the standards in use in the CALP.

IAC's financial commitments
IAC shall supply the necessary common items and consumables, electricity, two telephone lines, network lines, ceiling illumination and air conditioners in
accordance with prevailing standards and legislation
All of the costs related to travel, accommodation, research, educational operation and maintenance activities shall be covered by the person's home institution.
Other financial commitments
The ICRR / University of Tokyo shall pay an annual rent of 400 Euro per square meter per year for the space, electricity consumption and communications
