We report on near-infrared J- and H-band linear polarimetric photometry of eight ultracool dwarfs (two late-M, five L0-L7.5, and one T2.5) with known evidence for photometric variability due to dust clouds, anomalous red infrared colors, or low-gravity atmospheres. The polarimetric data were acquired with the LIRIS instrument on the William

Near-infrared spectroscopic survey of B-type asteroids: compositional analysis
We present near-infrared spectra of 23 B-type asteroids obtained with the NICS cameraspectrograph at the 3.56 m Telescopio Nazionale Galileo. We also include visible and near-infrared spectra of 20 additional B-type asteroids from the literature, including near-Earth asteroid 1999 RQ36, primary target of NASA's OSIRIS-Rex sample return mission. Near-term detectability of terrestrial extrasolar planets: TEP network observations of CM Draconis
Results from a photometric search for extrasolar planetary transits across the eclipsing binary CM Dra are presented. The TEP (Transits of Extrasolar Planets) network has observed this star since 1994, and a lightcurve with 617 hours of coverage has been obtained. The data give a complete phase coverage of the CM Dra system at each of the 3 years

Nearby globular clusters photometric catalog (Rosenberg+, 2000)
We present the first part of the first large and homogeneous CCD color-magnitude diagram (CMD) data base, comprising 52 nearby Galactic globular clusters (GGC) imaged in the V and I bands using only two telescopes (one for each hemisphere). The observed clusters represent 75% of the known Galactic globulars with (m-M)V

Nearly all the sky is covered by Lyman-α emission around high-redshift galaxies
Galaxies are surrounded by large reservoirs of gas, mostly hydrogen, that are fed by inflows from the intergalactic medium and by outflows from galactic winds. Absorption-line measurements along the lines of sight to bright and rare background quasars indicate that this circumgalactic medium extends far beyond the starlight seen in galaxies, but

Neutral and ionized gas dynamics in Blue Compact Dwarf Galaxies
We propose to carry out full-synthesis (12-h) HI ATCA observations of 8 bright Blue Compact Dwarf Galaxies (BCDGs), for which we have already got interesting results. Some are apparently isolated, others belong to galaxy groups. We want to estimate the distribution of the HI in each BCDG and its surrounding, looking for independent HI clouds or
