  • J-K DENIS photometry of bright southern stars (Kimeswenger+ 2004)
We present a photometric survey of bright southern stars carried out using the DENIS instrument equipped with attenuating filters. The observations were carried out not using the survey mode of DENIS, but with individual target pointings. This project was stimulated by the need to obtain near-infrared photometry of stars to be used in early

  • J-PAS: The Javalambre Physics of the Accelerated Universe Astrophysical Survey
The Javalambre Physics of the Accelerated Universe Astrophysical Survey (J-PAS) is a narrow band, very wide field Cosmological Survey to be carried out from the Javalambre Observatory in Spain with a purpose-built, dedicated 2.5 m telescope and a 4.7 sq.deg. camera with 1.2 Gpix. Starting in late 2016, J-PAS will observe 8500 sq.deg. of Northern

  • Jets from Subparsec to Kiloparsec Scales: A Physical Connection
The Chandra discovery of bright X-ray emission from kiloparsec-scale jets allows insight into the physical parameters of the jet flow at large scales. At the opposite extreme, extensive studies of the inner relativistic jets in blazars with multiwavelength observations yield comparable information on subparsec scales. In the framework of simple

  • Jets, Knots, and Tails in Planetary Nebulae: NGC 3918, K1-2, and Wray 17-1
We analyze optical images and high-resolution, long-slit spectra of three planetary nebulae that possess collimated, low-ionization features. NGC 3918 is composed of an inner, spindle-shaped shell mildly inclined with respect to the plane of the sky. Departing from the polar regions of this shell, we find a two-sided jet expanding with velocities

  • JHK photometry of Vega-type and PMS stars (Eiroa+, 2001)
File table1.dat contains near-infrared JHK magnitudes of a sample of 18 Vega-like and post-T Tauri stars observed by the EXPORT collaboration. File table2.dat contains near-infrared JHK magnitudes of a sample of 4 pre-main sequence stars observed by EXPORT. The data were taken during four observing runs in the period May 1998 to January 1999. (3
