Descripción
We present the optomechanical design and fabrication, and optical characterization results of the objective lens for DRAGO-2 payload optical system, a compact SWIR camera for Earth observation onboard the ALISIO-1 microsatellite mission developed by IACTEC-Space team at the Instituto de Astrofisica de Canarias (IAC). This dual-band refractive design is passively athermalized between -20 °C and 40 °C and works at 1.1um and 1.6 um wavelengths, with a focal length of 150mm. It boasts high transmission and relative illumination, both above 90%, and low distortion under 0.05%, with an excellent optical quality and a high MTF at the Nyquist frequency. We report the details of the optical characterization, using a double-pass wavefront setup at ASE using a spectrally filtered supercontinuum light source and a wavefront sensor. Additionally, IACTEC-Space validated the field-of-view, slanted-edge MTF, and the resolution using a USAF 1951 test target.
