  • Redhift catalog of A1237+A1240 galaxies (Barrena+, 2009)

Our analysis is based mainly on redshift data for 145 galaxies mostly acquired at the Telescopio Nazionale Galileo and on new photometric data acquired at the Isaac Newton Telescope. We also use X-ray data from the Chandra archive and photometric data from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (Data Release 7). We combine galaxy velocities and positions to

  • Relative lithium abundances in pre-main-sequence spectroscopic binaries

We present a study of the lithium abundance of five pre-main sequence (PMS) double-lined binaries. These binaries are composed of weak-lined T Tauri stars having spectral types ranging from K3 to K7. For each binary, Lee (1992) has determined domains of spectral type and luminosity for the binary componenets. Lithium abundances in Local

  • Reliability of P mode event classification using contemporaneous BiSON and GOLF observations

We carried out a comparison of the signals seen in contemporaneous BiSON and GOLF data sets. Both instruments perform Doppler shift velocity measurements in integrated sunlight, although BiSON perform measurements from the two wings of potassium absorption line and GOLF from one wing of the NaD1 line. Discrepancies between the two datasets have

  • REM optical/NIR observations of MAXI J1659-152

We observed the optical and NIR counterpart of the recently discovered X-ray transient MAXI J1659-152 (Negoro et al. 2010, ATel #2873; Mangano et al. 2010, GCN #11296) with the REM telescope located in La Silla (Chile) in imaging mode using the V, R, I, J, H and K filters. Observations were carried out on 2009 Sept. 30, starting from 23:43 UT (MJD

  • Removing systematics from the CoRoT light curves. I. Magnitude-dependent zero point

This paper presents an analysis that searched for systematic effects within the CoRoT exoplanet field light curves. The analysis identified a systematic effect that modified the zero point of most CoRoT exposures as a function of stellar magnitude. We could find this effect only after preparing a set of learning light curves that were relatively
