  • Discovery of Burst Oscillations in the Intermittent Accretion-Powered Millisecond Pulsar HETE J1900.1-2455
We report the discovery of burst oscillations from the intermittent accretion-powered millisecond pulsar (AMP) HETE J1900.1-2455, with a frequency ~1 Hz below the known spin frequency. The burst oscillation properties are far more similar to those of the non-AMPs and Aql X-1 (an intermittent AMP with a far lower duty cycle), than those of the AMPs

  • Centre to Limb Variation of the Internetwork Magnetism
We analyse 1.5 μm spectropolarimetric observations of quiet regions at different positions on the solar surface. Neither the circular and linear polarization signals nor the area and amplitude asymmetries present a clear trend with the position on the Sun. This fact discards a network-like scenario for the internetwork magnetic fields. An

  • Candidate Planetary Nebulae in IPHAS catalog (Viironen+, 2009)
1005 objects selected from the IPHAS survey catalogue. Of these 721 are new PN candidates while 224 are known objects. Also listed is the information for counterparts in the 2MASS or UKIDSS surveys as well as the IRAS, MSX and NVSS catalogues. (1 data file).

  • Bayesian Inversion of Stokes Profiles
Inversion techniques are the most powerful methods to obtain information about the thermodynamical and magnetic properties of solar and stellar atmospheres. In the last years, we have witnessed the development of highly sophisticated inversion codes that are now widely applied to spectro-polarimetric observations. However, no realistic confidence
