  • A 4 Gyr M-dwarf Gyrochrone from CFHT/MegaPrime Monitoring of the Open Cluster M67
We present stellar rotation periods for late K- and early M-dwarf members of the 4 Gyr old open cluster M67 as calibrators for gyrochronology and tests of stellar spin-down models. Using Gaia EDR3 astrometry for cluster membership and Pan-STARRS (PS1) photometry for binary identification, we build this set of rotation periods from a campaign of

  • J-PLUS: Discovery and characterisation of ultracool dwarfs using Virtual Observatory tools. II. Second data release and machine learning methodology
Context. Ultracool dwarfs (UCDs) comprise the lowest mass members of the stellar population and brown dwarfs, from M7 V to cooler objects with L, T, and Y spectral types. Most of them have been discovered using wide-field imaging surveys, for which the Virtual Observatory (VO) has proven to be of great utility. Aims: We aim to perform a search for

  • Polarization Accuracy Verification of the Chromospheric LAyer SpectroPolarimeter
We have developed an advanced UV spectropolarimeter called Chromospheric LAyer SpectroPolarimeter (CLASP2), aimed at achieving very high accuracy measurements (<0.1% at 3 σ ) of the linear (Q /I and U /I ) and circular (V /I ) polarizations of the Mg II h and k lines (280 nm). CLASP2 was launched on board a NASA sounding rocket on April 11, 2019

  • Studying a precessing jet of a massive young stellar object within a chemically rich region
Aims: In addition to the large surveys and catalogs of massive young stellar objects (MYSOs) and outflows, dedicated studies are needed of particular sources in which high angular observations, mainly at near-IR and (sub)millimeter wavelengths, are analyzed in depth, to shed light on the processes involved in the formation of massive stars. • The CARMENES search for exoplanets around M dwarfs. Stable radial-velocity variations at the rotation period of AD Leonis: A test case study of current limitations to treating stellar activity
Context. A challenge with radial-velocity (RV) data is disentangling the origin of signals either due to a planetary companion or to stellar activity. In fact, the existence of a planetary companion has been proposed, as well as contested, around the relatively bright, nearby M3.0 V star AD Leo at the same period as the stellar rotation of 2.23

  • An extreme blue nugget, UV-bright starburst at z = 3.613 with 90 per cent of Lyman continuum photon escape
    We present the discovery and analysis of J1316+2614 at z = 3.6130, a UV-bright star-forming galaxy (M UV ≃ -24.7) with large escape of Lyman continuum (LyC) radiation. J1316+2614 is a young (≃10 Myr) star-forming galaxy with SFR ≃ 500 M ⊙ yr -1 and a starburst mass of log(M ⋆/M ⊙) ≃ 9.7. It shows a very steep UV continuum, β UV = -2.59 ± 0.05
