  • Unveiling the warm molecular outflow component of type-2 quasars with SINFONI
We present seeing-limited (0.8″) near-infrared integral field spectroscopy data of the type-2 quasars, QSO2s, SDSS J135646.10+102609.0 (J1356) and SDSS J143029.89+133912.1 (J1430, the Teacup), both belonging to the Quasar Feedback, QSOFEED, sample. The nuclear K-band spectra (1.95–2.45 μm) of these radio-quiet QSO2s reveal several H 2 emission

  • Tripling the Census of Dwarf AGN Candidates Using DESI Early Data
Using early data from the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI) survey, we search for active galactic nuclei (AGN) signatures in 410,757 line-emitting galaxies. By employing the BPT emission-line ratio diagnostic diagram, we identify AGNs in 75,928/296,261 (≈25.6%) high-mass ( 9.5) and 2444/114,496 (≈2.1%) dwarf ( 9.5) galaxies. Of these AGN

  • TOI-512: Super-Earth transiting a K-type star discovered by TESS and ESPRESSO
Context. One of the goals of the ESPRESSO guaranteed time observations (GTOs) at the ESO 8.2 m telescope is to follow up on candidate planets from transit surveys such as the TESS mission. High-precision radial velocities are required to characterize small exoplanets. Aims. We intend to confirm the existence of a transiting super-Earth around the

  • TOI-2015 b: A sub-Neptune in strong gravitational interaction with an outer non-transiting planet
TOI-2015 is a known exoplanetary system around an M4 dwarf star, consisting of a transiting sub-Neptune planet in a 3.35-day orbital period, TOI-2015 b, accompanied by a non-transiting companion, TOI-2015 c. High-precision radial-velocity measurements were taken with the MAROON-X spectrograph, and high-precision photometric data were collected

  • The Pristine survey: XXVI. Chemical abundances of subgiant stars of the extremely metal-poor stream C-19
Context. The C-19 stellar stream is the most metal-poor stream known to date. While its wth and velocity dispersion indicate a dwarf galaxy origin, its metallicity spread and abundance patterns are more similar to those of globular clusters (GCs). If it is indeed of GC origin, its extremely low metallicity ([Fe/H]=‑3.4, estimated from giant stars)

  • The Pristine survey: XXV. The very metal-poor Galaxy: Chemodynamics through the follow-up of the Pristine-Gaia synthetic catalogue
Context. The Pristine-Gaia synthetic catalogue of reliable photometric metallicities makes use of spectrophotometric information from Gaia DR3 XP spectra to calculate metallicity-sensitive CaHK magnitudes, which in turn provides photometric metallicities for ~30 million FGK stars using the Pristine survey model and the survey's training sample
