    An international team of scientists, led by researchers from the National Astronomical Observatory of China and with the participation of the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias and the Universidad de La Laguna, have observed a stellar black hole with a mass 70 times heavier than the Sun. The giant object, called LB-1, challenges the standard theory of stellar evolution.   • Spiral Dance of Black Holes
    Mañana viernes, 22 de noviembre, a las 19 horas, en el Museo de la Ciencia y el Cosmos, de Museos de Tenerife, tendrá lugar la charla divulgativa “Ondas gravitacionales. Los sonidos del Universo” a cargo del investigador la Universidad de las Islas Baleares Sascha Husa.   • GTC Intalación Sinergia
    The Gran Telescopio Canarias or GRANTECAN has surpassed, for the first time, the 10,000 face-to-face visits. The forecast is that by the end of the year there will be around 12,000 visits. During the month of November, a new immersive experience for visitors, called SINERGIA, will be inaugurated, which will show the public real data obtained with the telescope.
