Organized by the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC) the Gran Telescopio Canarias (GTC) and the Department of Finance of the Government of the Canaries, this exhibition brings to the public all the technological development projects of Astrophysics in the Islands which have been funded via the European Fund of Regional Development (FEDER)

The première will be in the Gran Telescopio de Canarias, and there will be two special showings, one in the University of La Laguna, and the other in the Museum of Science and the Cosmos.

The best time to observe them will be on Sunday April 22nd, after midnight local time. The STARS4ALL project will transmit them in real time from the Teide Observatory (Izaña, Tenerife).

The Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC) and the Gran Telescopio Canarias (GTC) are collaborating in Astrofest La Palma 2018, a big festival of events organized by the Department of Tourism of the Island Cabildo of La Palma, whose aim is to highlight the quality of the sky on the “beautiful island”.

The Advisory Research Commission (CAI for its Spanish initials) of the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC) whose members are scientists with international prestige in the field, met yesterday in La Laguna to analyze the research and the technology of the Institute, and of the Observatories which it runs.
