    Stephen Hawking visitó hoy la sede central del Instituto de Astrofísica de CanariasFOTONOTICIA
    El personal del IAC recibió al físico teórico, estrella invitada del Festival STARMUS, a su llegada al centro. Hawking hizo un recorrido por las instalaciones, acompañado por el Director del IAC y otros miembros del Comité de Dirección, para conocer la investigación que se realiza en este Instituto y en los Observatorios de Canarias, así como su labor docente y sus proyectos tecnológicos. Stephen Hawking también firmó con su huella en el Libro de Honor del IAC y tuvo un encuentro con los jóvenes doctorandos. A su llegada, Hawking expresó su satisfacción por estar en Tenerife y visitar el IAC

    Los Premios Nobel de Física Robert Wilson y John Mather visitaron ayer el Observatorio del Teide, acompañados por el director del IAC y varios astrofísicos. Los dos Premios Nobel, relacionados con los estudios sobre la radiación del fondo de microondas, tuvieron la oportunidad de conocer el Experimento QUIJOTE, entre otras instalaciones del Observatorio.
