    MuSCAT2 to find Earth-like habitable planets in the TESS era
    A Japan-Spain international collaboration team has developed a powerful 4-color simultaneous camera named MuSCAT2 on the 1.52m Telescopio Carlos Sánchez in the Teide Observatory, Canaries, Spain. The instrument aims to find a large number of new transiting exoplanets, including Earth-like habitable planets in the solar neighborhood, in collaboration with NASA’s Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) launched in April 2018.

    El Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC) y el Museo de la Ciencia y el Cosmos (MCC), de Museos de Tenerife, han editado un calendario astronómico de 2019 en formato póster ilustrado con la imagen del cúmulo estelar abierto de las Pléyades (M45) obtenida con el Astrógrafo STC (Sky Treasure Chest) de la Unidad de Comunicación y Cultura Científica (UC3) del IAC, ubicado en el Observatorio del Teide (Izaña, Tenerife).
