Description
The radiative transfer equation (RTE) gives us information about how the light streams through the medium. It must be inverted in order to obtain the properties of the medium that generated the observation. While there are a number of well discussed methods to approach the solution of the inversion, none of them is suitable for the real-time analysis of high-resolution images due to their computational requirements. This document introduces an electronic inverter for the RTE, suitable for real-time inversion and mainly intended for space missions and on-line ground-based observations.
