I have been informed about the use of the thermographic images of the soles of my feet. I understand that these images will be completely anonymous, with only my gender and age recorded, and that they will be used exclusively in foot pathology research conducted in collaboration between the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias and other national and international research centers.

The study aims to develop a thermal foot monitoring system that can detect temperature changes indicative of possible invisible lesions, all through a non-invasive and safe method. The information obtained will contribute to the early diagnosis of conditions related to diabetic foot.

The images obtained will be stored at the IAC facilities and may be used in the publication of scientific articles, always ensuring the anonymization of the images by removing any information that could identify the participants.

I have been informed that the acquisition of thermal images poses no risks, as it is based on the detection of the natural radiation emitted by the body due to its temperature, and does not involve contact or exposure to harmful radiation.

I confirm that I am satisfied with the information received, that I understand the procedure, and that the explanations have been provided to me clearly and comprehensibly.

CONSENT:

I declare my consent to participate in this study and for the images of the soles of my feet to be used for scientific and technological development purposes. Furthermore, I declare that I have been informed about the purpose of the study, which includes the development of an infrared thermal sensor that will allow diabetic individuals to monitor the temperature of their feet and detect changes that may indicate an invisible lesion.

The thermal and visible images obtained during the study will be stored at the IAC and may be used for the preparation of scientific articles, after being fully anonymized, retaining only information related to my age and gender.

I confirm that I have been informed that there are no risks associated with this procedure, and that the process of obtaining thermal images is not harmful, as it only measures the radiation naturally emitted by the body.

For all the above reasons, I state that I am satisfied with the information received, that I understand the procedure for obtaining the images, and that I give my consent to participate in this study, allowing the use of the images of the soles of my feet for scientific and technological purposes.
