  • A comprehensive study of the opposition effect on 15 NEOs
We report the results we derived analyzing photometric measurements obtained at different phase angles for 15 Near-Earth Objects (NEOs), observed from Campo Imperatore observatory, and Observatório Astronômico do Sertão de Itaparica (OASI). The performed analysis allows us to taxonomically classify them using several independent techniques, thus

  • A study of flares in the ultra-cool regime from SPECULOOS-South
We present a study of photometric flares on 154 low-mass (≤0.2 M ⊙) objects observed by the SPECULOOS-South Observatory from 2018 June 1 to 2020 March 23. In this sample, we identify 85 flaring objects, ranging in spectral type from M4 to L0. We detect 234 flares in this sample, with energies between 10 29.2 and 10 32.7 erg, using both automated

  • About Metallicity Variations in the Local Galactic Interstellar Medium
In this paper we discuss and confront recent results on metallicity variations in the local interstellar medium, obtained from observations of H II regions and neutral clouds of the Galactic thin disk, and compare them with recent high-quality metallicity determinations of other tracers of the chemical composition of the interstellar medium as B

  • Characterizing eclipsing white dwarf M dwarf binaries from multiband eclipse photometry
With the prevalence of wide-field, time-domain photometric sky surveys, the number of eclipsing white dwarf (WD) systems being discovered is increasing dramatically. An efficient method to follow these up will be key to determining any population trends and finding any particularly interesting examples. We demonstrate that multiband eclipse

  • Metallicity of Galactic RR Lyrae from Optical and Infrared Light Curves. II. Period-Fourier-Metallicity Relations for First Overtone RR Lyrae
We present new period-ϕ 31-[Fe/H] relations for first-overtone RRL stars (RRc), calibrated over a broad range of metallicities (-2.5 ≲ [Fe/H] ≲ 0.0) using the largest currently available set of Galactic halo field RRL with homogeneous spectroscopic metallicities. Our relations are defined in the optical (ASAS-SN V band) and, inaugurally, in the

  • The TESS-Keck Survey. XI. Mass Measurements for Four Transiting Sub-Neptunes Orbiting K Dwarf TOI-1246
Multiplanet systems are valuable arenas for investigating exoplanet architectures and comparing planetary siblings. TOI-1246 is one such system, with a moderately bright K dwarf (V = 11.6, K = 9.9) and four transiting sub-Neptunes identified by TESS with orbital periods of 4.31, 5.90, 18.66, and 37.92 days. We collected 130 radial velocity
