  • THEMIS and DOT joint observations on NOAA 9716
Ephemeral magnetic emergence has been detected in a decaying β region observed in December 2001 simultaneously with the DOT and THEMIS. We present here the main characteristics of this phenomenon. Also the time evolution of a small group of pores is shown together with the time evolution of an horizontal magnetic field overlying them.

  • Theoretical amplitudes and lifetimes of non-radial solar-like oscillations in red giants
Context: Solar-like oscillations have been observed in numerous red giants from ground and from space. An important question arises: could we expect to detect non-radial modes probing the internal structure of these stars? Aims: We investigate under what physical circumstances non-radial modes could be observable in red giants; what would be their

  • Theoretical models in the Virtual Observatory
Although full interoperability between theoretical and observational data in the framework of the Virtual Observatory would be a very desirable achievement, the current status of VO offers few approaches to handle theoretical models. TSAP (Theoretical Spectra Access Protocol) has been proposed as a tool to fill this void, providing a simple scheme

  • Thermal Dust Imaging of Massive Star-Forming Regions: W3 Main and W3 (OH)
We present the preliminary results of mid-infrared images at 8.7, 9.7 and 12.5 micron of the complex massive star formation regions W3 Main and W 3(OH).

  • Thermal Emission Photometry of Deep Impact Flyby Target (163249) 2002 GT
Near-Earth asteroid (163249) 2002 GT is now the target of a Deep Impact spacecraft flyby in Jan. 2020 (see Pittichova et al., this volume, for details of the flyby and observing campaign). Thermal emission photometry of 2002 GT was obtained from NIRI on Gemini-North in the L' and M' filters, which are centered at 3.76 and 4.68 microns respectively

  • Thermal Properties, Size Distribution, and Albedo Distribution of Jupiter-Family Comets
We present results from SEPPCoN (Survey of Ensemble Physical Properties of Cometary Nuclei), a survey of 100 Jupiter-family comets (JFCs) using the Spitzer Space Telescope for mid-infrared measurements of thermal emission and several ground-based telescopes for visible-wavelength measurements of reflected sunlight. Our sample represents about 30%
