  • Transverse kink oscillations of inhomogeneous prominence threads: Numerical analysis and Hα forward modelling
    Context. Prominence threads are very long and thin flux tubes that are partially filled with cold plasma. Observations have shown that transverse oscillations are frequent in these solar structures. The observations are usually interpreted as the fundamental kink mode, while the detection of the first harmonic remains elusive. Aims: The properties

  • A 38 Million Year Old Neptune-sized Planet in the Kepler Field
    Kepler 1627A is a G8V star previously known to host a 3.8 R ⊕ planet on a 7.2 day orbit. The star was observed by the Kepler space telescope because it is nearby (d = 329 pc) and it resembles the Sun. Here, we show using Gaia kinematics, TESS stellar rotation periods, and spectroscopic lithium abundances that Kepler 1627 is a member of the ${38}_{

  • A pair of sub-Neptunes transiting the bright K-dwarf TOI-1064 characterized with CHEOPS
    We report the discovery and characterization of a pair of sub-Neptunes transiting the bright K-dwarf TOI-1064 (TIC 79748331), initially detected in the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) photometry. To characterize the system, we performed and retrieved the CHaracterising ExOPlanets Satellite (CHEOPS), TESS, and ground-based photometry

  • Combined searches for dark matter in dwarf spheroidal galaxies observed with the MAGIC telescopes, including new data from Coma Berenices and Draco
    Milky Way dwarf spheroidal galaxies (dSphs) are among the best candidates to search for signals of dark matter annihilation with Imaging Atmospheric Cherenkov Telescopes, given their high mass-to-light ratios and the fact that they are free of astrophysical gamma-ray emitting sources. Since 2011, MAGIC has performed a multi-year observation program

  • Dark matter annihilation and the Galactic Centre Excess
    We compare the surface brightness profile and morphology of the Galactic Centre Excess (GCE) identified in wide-angle γ-ray maps from the Fermi-Large Area Telescope (LAT) to dark matter annihilation predictions derived from high-resolution Λ cold dark matter magnetohydrodynamic simulations of galaxy formation. These simulations produce isolated

  • OGLE-2014-BLG-0319: A Sub-Jupiter-mass Planetary Event Encountered Degeneracy with Different Mass Ratios and Lens-source Relative Proper Motions
    We report the discovery of a sub-Jovian-mass planet, OGLE-2014-BLG-0319Lb. The characteristics of this planet will be added into a future extended statistical analysis of the Microlensing Observations in Astrophysics (MOA) collaboration. The planetary anomaly of the light curve is characterized by MOA and OGLE survey observations and results in
