The Support Team of the Director of the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC) has set up a Press Room for the duration of the XVIII Canary Islands Winter School of Astrophysics for the benefit of the communications media and the Winter School participants. The Press Room, which will be updated on a daily basis, consists of a web site providing information and images; it can be used as a cited source for any news reports relating to the School.
XVIII Canary Island Winter School of Astrophysics opened. To date, more than 1,000 researchers from all over the world have been trained in the IAC Winter Schools.
