The IAC signs in Tokyo an agreement with the Riken Institute of Advanced Photonics

Rafael Rebolo, director of the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC) and Katsumi Midorikawa, director of the RIKEN Centre for Advanced Photonicssigned in Tokyo on May 13th a new memorandum of agreement on several programmes to give an impulse to research and scientific-technical training, as well as to promote coordinated projects and interchange visits by researchers. In the document there is also a mention of coopertaion in the field of experimental cosmology and in the experiment GroundBIRD,  dedicated to characterize from the ground the polarization of the Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation (CMB) on large angular scales to search for evidence for inflation in the early universe.
