The President of the Parliament of the Canary Islands, Gustavo Matos, visited the facilities of the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias in La Laguna, with the aim of "knowing better the project of the Telescopio de Treinta Metros" and transmitting "the institutional support of the Parliament," it is decided to build in the Canary Islands.
During his tour of this research centre, he was accompanied by its director, Rafael Rebolo, the deputy director of the IAC, Casiana Muñoz-Tuñón and the coordinators of Research, Teaching and Instrumentation, Javier Licandro, Ignacio González Martínez-Pais and Alfonso López Aguerri.
