An international team of scientists from the SDSS- III project, in which the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC ) participates, has developed a three-dimensional map of more than one million galaxies to understand the mysterious properties of dark energy and its effects on the accelerating expansion of the Universe.

The discovery of this triple-bubble, made up of three supernova shells and observed by scientist of the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC), allows to understand the feedback processes in galaxy discs.
