Description
I present a comparison between the Probability Density Functions of the magnetic field strength, inclination, azimuth, and filling factor determined at four different heliocentric angles in the quiet Sun internetwork. The data were acquired with the spectropolarimeter attached to the Solar Optical Telescope onboard the Hinode satellite. The signal-to-the-noise ratio corresponds to ˜ 3600, measured at the continuum of Stokes I. To obtain the PDFs, the data were subjected to a simple one component Milne-Eddington inversion. The results show that for strong fields (above 300 G), variations on the shape of the inclination PDF are detected, suggesting that the geometry of the field vector changes with viewing angle. For weaker fields, the distribution of inclinations does not vary, what concurs with the isotropic nature of the internetwork fields.
