Description
Radio, infrared, and optical observations of the embedded infrared cluster IRAS17136 - 3617 are reviewed. The cluster consists of more than 25 stars with a total stellar mass of 100-400 solar masses embedded deep into a dense molecular cloud of mass 4 x 10,000 solar masses. An extended H II region is found to be expanding outward of the molecular cloud. The peak emission in radio continuum and Br(gamma) line coincides with the brightest infrared source.
