Description
We present age and metallicity determinations for 49 star clusters in the SMC from Washington CT1 photometry and integrated spectra. Two of the observed clusters resulted to be relatively old object (age ~ 6.5 Gyr). In addition, we confirm that the further a cluster is from the center of the galaxy, the older and more metal-poor it is, with some dispersion; although clusters associated with the Magellanic bridge clearly do not obey the general trend. The number of clusters within ~ 2 degrees of the SMC center appears to have increased substantially after ~ 2.5 Gyr ago, hinting at a burst. FULL TEXT IN SPANISH
