Description
The aim of the project is to improve our knowledge of the multiplicity
of planet-host stars at wide physical separations. We cross-matched
approximately 6,200 square degrees imaged by the Visible Infrared Survey
Telescope for Astronomy (VISTA) Hemisphere Survey (VHS) with the Two
Micron All Sky Survey (2MASS) to look for wide common proper motion
companions to known planet-host stars. We report two new stellar M dwarf
companions as well as a T4.5 dwarf companion, at 6.3 arcmin
(˜9,000 au) from the K7V star HIP 70849, yielding stellar and
substellar frequencies of 5.4±3.8% and 2.7±2.7% (1σ),
respectively. We refer the reader to our refereed paper (Lodieu et al.
2014) for more detailed information on the results.
