Description
We present CO J = 1-> observations of the S0 galaxy NGC 404 obtained
using the Nobeyama Millimeter Array. The spatial and velocity
resolutions are 4' ' and 5 km s-1. The central part of the galaxy shows
a highly concentrated rotationless source with properties typical of a
Giant Molecular Association. This structure is compatible with either a
rotating molecular face-on disc or a non-rotating turbulent GMA. The
asymmetry of the map of the CO velocity profiles might show signatures
of the gravitational collapse of some substructures of this GMA that can
be observed at higher spatial resolution maps.
