Description
Most of the information concerning the ionized gas and star kinematics in the central regions of galaxies is 1-Dimensional. This hampers the study of the velocity fields, specially for the ionized gas which in many cases exhibits a kinematics strongly decoupled from that of the stars. Here we present the velocity fields for the ionized gas and the stars obtained from 2D fiber-spectroscopy in the central regions (12' 'times 9 ' ') of a sample of active (NGC 1052, NGC 1068, NGC 3516, NGC 4151, NGC 6500, M87) and non-active (M31, M32, NGC 7331) galaxies. These data will be useful to study and compare the stellar and ionized gas kinematics in galactic nuclei, overcoming the geometrical ambiguities common to 1D studies.
