Description
The turbulent convection zone is now considered as the only known source of the excitation of p-modes in the Sun. In Perez and Roca Cortes (1999) an analysis was made of the data set available to date of GOLF aboard SOHO (before SOHO loss), checking that the energy distribution of the acoustic modes is of a Boltzmann type. At present we have a new data set of GOLF, provided after SOHO's recovery, in a period of higher solar activity. Studying this new time series in the same way that was made before we should be able to assess the dependence of the energy distribution on the solar activity. Although a slightly different slope for the distributions is found, within the errors, there seems to be no dependence with solar activity.
