• Observed versus simulated halo c-Mvir relations
The concentration - virial mass relation is a well-defined trend that reflects the formation of structure in an expanding universe. Numerical simulations reveal a marked correlation that depends on the collapse time of dark matter haloes and their subsequent assembly history. However, observational constraints are mostly limited to the massive end

• On the orbital velocity of isolated galaxy pairs: a test of gravity in the low acceleration regime
The dynamics of isolated galaxy pairs represents an important tool to investigate the behaviour of gravity in the low acceleration regime. Statistical analysis of a large sample of galaxy pairs led to the noticeable discovery of a region of preferred 3-dimensional velocities centered at ~150 and ~100 km s -1 wide, a feature hard to justify in the

• Probing gravity with the DES-CMASS sample and BOSS spectroscopy
The DES-CMASS sample (DMASS) is designed to optimally combine the weak lensing measurements from the Dark Energy Survey (DES) and redshift-space distortions (RSD) probed by the CMASS galaxy sample from the Baryonic Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey. In this paper, we demonstrate the feasibility of adopting DMASS as the equivalent of CMASS for a

• Synthetic galaxy clusters and observations based on Dark Energy Survey Year 3 Data
We develop a novel data-driven method for generating synthetic optical observations of galaxy clusters. In cluster weak lensing, the interplay between analysis choices and systematic effects related to source galaxy selection, shape measurement, and photometric redshift estimation can be best characterized in end-to-end tests going from mock

• System parameters of three short-period cataclysmic variable stars
Using photometric ULTRACAM observations of three new short-period cataclysmic variables (CVs), we model the primary eclipse light curves to extract the orbital separation, masses, and radii of their component stars. We find donor masses of $0.060\pm 0.008\, {\rm M_\odot }$, $0.042\pm 0.001\, {\rm M_\odot }$, and $0.042\pm 0.004\, {\rm M_\odot }$

• Systematic KMTNet Planetary Anomaly Search. II. Six New q < 2 × 10-4 Mass-ratio Planets
We apply the automated AnomalyFinder algorithm of Paper I to 2018-2019 light curves from the ≃13 deg 2 covered by the six KMTNet prime fields, with cadences Γ ≥ 2 hr -1. We find a total of 11 planets with mass ratios q < 2 × 10 -4, including 6 newly discovered planets, 1 planet that was reported in Paper I, and recovery of 4 previously discovered
