  • Full disk helioseismology: repetitive music and the question of gap filling
Helioseismology requires continuous measurements of very long duration, months to years. This paper addresses the specific and limited case of full disk measurements of p-mode oscillations, although it can be generalized, to some extent, to the case of imaged helioseismology. First, a method of mode by mode (or rather pair of modes by pair of modes

  • A narrowband imaging survey of symbiotic stars
Narrowband images of 51 symbiotic stars were obtained at the ESO and ORM observatories to search for resolved optical nebulae. Ionized nebulae much larger than previously known are found around CH Cyg, HM Sge and V1016 Cyg, and they will be discussed in detail in forthcoming papers. A nebula with a deconvolved size between 0farcs9 and 1farcs5 is

  • Circumstellar PAHs in IRAS 16594-4656: a new proto-planetary nebula with a strong 21mum dust feature
Based on ISO SWS+LWS observations, we identify IRAS 16594-4656 as a new member of the rare class of C-rich proto-planetary nebulae with the 21 μm dust feature in emission. In addition, the major PAHs emission bands at 3.3, 6.2, 7.7, 8.6 and 11.3 μm are detected, together with unusually strong features at 12.6 and 13.4 μm , very rarely observed

  • ZW 0855+06: A Wolf-Rayet Dwarf Galaxy Triggered by a Dwarf-Dwarf Interaction
We present narrowband (Hα and adjacent continuum) and broadband (B and V) optical images of the dwarf Wolf-Rayet galaxy Zw 0855+06 and its companion, together with high-resolution Hα spectroscopy of the main galaxy. We find a bridge of ~14.7 kpc (~65") in length and stellar nature connecting both galaxies, a feature that undoubtedly indicates their

  • Zodiacal light observations with ISOPHOT
We performed an extensive observing programme on the zodiacal light with ISOPHOT. The mapping of several ~0.5degx0.5deg fields demonstrates the sub-percentage smoothness of the zodiacal light brightness on arcminute scale. The analysis of 27 ISOPHOT-S spectra in the 5-12μm range revealed blackbody-like spectral shapes with no obvious spectral
