The Ambassador of France to Spain, Jerome Bonnafont, the Honorary Consul of France in the Canary Islands, Francisco Esteban García, and the Minister of Science and Technology of the French Embassy, Bertrand Bouchet, visited the headquarters of the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC) and the Teide Observatory, in Tenerife, yesterday afternoon. The Director of the IAC, Rafael Rebolo, and other researchers and engineers from the center accompanied them.

During the visit to the observatory, the French delegation had the opportunity to see the facilities of the French telescope THEMIS, led by its director, Bernard Gelly, as well as the QUIJOTE experiment and the Optical Ground Station (OGS) of the European Space Agency (ESA).
