The European Solar Telescope (EST) project has reached a decisive stage, with the completion of the PDR (Preliminary Design Review) of the Buildings and Civil Works, which was given a very positive evaluation by the panel of experts. The European Patent Office (EPO) has granted the IAC a patent on an invention developed within IACTEC-Space . This technology improves the quality of images obtained by high-performance cameras under the demanding conditions found in space.
