  • PyEmir: data reduction pipeline for EMIR, the GTC near-IR multi-object spectrograph
EMIR is the near-infrared wide-field camera and multi-slit spectrograph being built for Gran Telescopio Canarias. We present here the work being done on its data processing pipeline. PyEmir is based on Python and it will process automatically data taken in both imaging and spectroscopy mode. Part of the PyEmir code can be reused by other GTC

  • Quantitative morphological analysis of the Hubble Deep Field North and Hubble Deep Field South - I. Early- and late-type luminosity-size relations of galaxies out to z~ 1
Based on drizzled F606W and F814W images, we present quantitative structural parameters in the V-band rest-frame for all galaxies with z 1 and I814(AB) 24.5 mag in the Hubble Deep Fields North and South. Our structural parameters are based on a two-component surface brightness distribution using a Sérsic bulge and an exponential disc. Detailed

  • Quantitative spectroscopic analyses in the IACOB+OWN project: Massive O-type stars in the Galaxy with the current Gaia information
We present the results from the quantitative spectroscopic analysis of ~280 likely single O stars targeted by the IACOB and OWN surveys. This implies the largest sample of Galactic O-type stars analyzed homogeneously to date. We used the iacob-broad and iacob-gbat tools (see Simón-Díaz et al. 2011,2015) to obtain the complete set of spectroscopic

  • Quiet-sun Intensity Contrasts in the Near-ultraviolet as Measured from SUNRISE
We present high-resolution images of the Sun in the near-ultraviolet spectral range between 214 nm and 397 nm as obtained from the first science flight of the 1 m SUNRISE balloon-borne solar telescope. The quiet-Sun rms intensity contrasts found in this wavelength range are among the highest values ever obtained for quiet-Sun solar surface

  • Quiet-Sun Internetwork Magnetic Fields from the Inversion of Hinode Measurements
We analyze Fe I 630 nm observations of the quiet Sun at disk center taken with the spectropolarimeter of the Solar Optical Telescope aboard the Hinode satellite. A significant fraction of the scanned area, including granules, turns out to be covered by magnetic fields. We derive field strength and inclination probability density functions from a

  • Radial velocities in A2744 (Boschin+, 2006)
Spectroscopic redshifts for 102 galaxies in the central region of the galaxy cluster Abell 2744 are presented. For each galaxy equatorial coordinates and radial velocity are given. (1 data file).
