  • TOpI-2447 b / NGTS-29 b: a 69-day Saturn around a Solar analogue
Discovering transiting exoplanets with relatively long orbital periods (>10 d) is crucial to facilitate the study of cool exoplanet atmospheres (T eq < 700 K) and to understand exoplanet formation and inward migration further out than typical transiting exoplanets. In order to discover these longer period transiting exoplanets, long-term

  • TOI-1408: Discovery and Photodynamical Modeling of a Small Inner Companion to a Hot Jupiter Revealed by Transit Timing Variations
We report the discovery and characterization of a small planet, TOI-1408 c, on a 2.2 day orbit located interior to a previously known hot Jupiter, TOI-1408 b (P = 4.42 days, M = 1.86 ± 0.02 M Jup, R = 2.4 ± 0.5 R Jup) that exhibits grazing transits. The two planets are near 2:1 period commensurability, resulting in significant transit timing

  • Time and Culture Across the Iberian Lands: The Cathedrals’ Orientation Paradigm—A Diachronic Analysis of the Orientation of the Cathedrals of Portugal and Spain.
The purpose of this research is to explore the complex and evolving orientations of cathedrals in the Iberian Peninsula and associated islands, examining the interplay between cultural, religious, political and architectural influences. Employing temporal and cultural analyses alongside remote sensing tools like Google Earth and HeyWhatsThat to

  • Three super-Earths and a possible water world from TESS and ESPRESSO
Context. Since 2018, the ESPRESSO spectrograph at the VLT has been hunting for planets in the southern skies via the radial velocity (RV) method. One of its goals is to follow up on candidate planets from transit surveys such as the TESS mission, with a particular focus on small planets for which ESPRESSO's RV precision is vital. Aims: We aim to

  • The updated BOSZ synthetic stellar spectral library
Context. The modeling of stellar spectra of flux standards observed by the Hubble and James Webb space telescopes requires a large synthetic spectral library that covers a wide atmospheric parameter range. Aims: The aim of this paper is to present and describe the calculation methods behind the updated version of the BOSZ synthetic spectral

  • The Negative Baryon Acoustic Oscillation Shift in the Lyα Forest from Cosmological Simulations
We present the first measurement of the Lyα forest baryon acoustic oscillations (BAO) shift parameter from cosmological simulations. In particular, we generate a suite of 1000 accurate effective field-level bias-based Lyα forest simulations of volume at z = 2, both in real and redshift space, calibrated upon two fixed-and-paired cosmological
