The AMS Conference starts in LaPalma

Yesterday saw the start of the AMS Days at La Palma Conference, which brings together between April 9th and 13th on the “Isla bonita” physicists from a number of international institutions to discuss the results obtained with this instrument on the International Space Station. Since 2011 the AMS has been collecting data on the most violent phenomena in the Universe, as well as studying dark matter and looking for traces of primordial antimatter.

The Nobel Laureate in Physics for 1976, Samuel Ting, who is the Principal Investigator on the AMS project was present at the inauguration, and during the day there was a succession of technical and scientific meetings.
