The second edition of this festival, which will be inaugurated tomorrow, Tuesday, until Saturday 14th September in the La Palma municipality of Los Llanos de Aridane and which will be attended by the Nobel Laureates in Literature Mario Vargas Llosa and Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clézio, will again have a day dedicated to astronomy. The President of the Parliament of the Canary Islands, Gustavo Matos, visited the facilities of the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias in La Laguna, with the aim of "knowing better the project of the Telescopio de Treinta Metros" and transmitting "the institutional support of the Parliament," it is decided to build in the Canary Islands.

Ana Rosa Mena, alcaldesa de Tegueste, ha visitado esta mañana la sede central del Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias, en La Laguna, acompañada de Campbell Warden, secretario ejecutivo del centro; Javier Licandro, coordinador del Área de Investigación; Antonio Díaz Chinea, jefe del departamento de Servicios Informáticos; y José Luis Rasilla, jefe del departamento de Óptica; algunos de ellos, vecinos del municipio.
