Description

This research project aims at combining expertise in high performance com-
puting (HPC), in theoretical spectropolarimetry, and in the numerical methods
for the solution of the radiative transfer (RT) problem for polarized radiation
under non-local thermodynamic equilibrium (NLTE) conditions, in order to de-
velop and apply novel diagnostic tools for investigating the magnetism of the
chromosphere and transition region of the Sun.
