Professional profile
Viera y Clavijo postdoctoral researcher at ULL-IAC in astroparticle physics, specialized in the study of non-thermal gamma-ray emission from Active Galactic Nuclei using the Cherenkov Telescope Array Observatory (CTAO) Large-Sized Telescopes and the MAGIC telescopes in La Palma. My research focuses on multi-wavelength and time-domain studies of flaring blazars and radio galaxies, combining ground-based VHE observations with space-borne gamma-ray, X-ray, and optical data to constrain particle acceleration and radiation mechanisms in relativistic jets. Using data from multiple distant sources, I also study and indirectly constrain the Extragalactic Background Light (EBL), the diffuse photon field produced by stellar emission and dust reprocessing over the cosmic history of the Universe.
