We present here the results of a survey searching for current-star forming galaxies at at z ˜ 0.83. Objects are selected by their emission in the Hα line through the narrow band filter technique.

We analyse the frequencies shown by the recently discovered pulsating sdB star PG 1657+416. It has at least four frequencies in the range 6.8--7.8 mHz, which are used to constrain the log g value of the star.
