    Current position: “Científico Titular de OPI” researcher at the IAC. Field of Research: Brown dwarfs and extrasolar planets. Areas of interest: - The substellar mass function in young open clusters and association - Isolated planetary mass objects - Low-mass stars and brown dwarfs in star forming regions - Ultra-cool dwarfs in the solar vicinity - Planetary mass companions of young nearby stars - Extrasolar planets around M and young stars Research: - 236 articles published in international journals with referee, since 1998, with more than 9766 citations. - Four “sexenios de investigación” recognized (1997-2002, 2003-2008, 2009-2014, and 2015-2020) in 2021. - Hich factor of 53. - 27 articles have accumulated more than 100 citations. - Two of these articles are among the 10 most cited papers of the field at the year of publication - More than 100 works presented in scientific conferences, including 8 invited talks and 3 review talks. LOC and SOC member in 7 international conferences. - Supervision of Ph D thesis: “Formación, evolución y multiplicidad de las enanas marrones y exoplanetas gigantes” by J. A.
