Dr. Hans Zinnecker has been the deputy director of Science Mission Operations of the SOFIA Airborne Observatory. He served as the representative of the Deutsches SOFIA Institut (Univ. Stuttgart) at the SOFIA Science Center at NASA-Ames in California (2010-2016). He recently retired and lives in Chile, affiliated with Universidad Autonoma de Chile

Dr. Matthew Shetrone is a Senior Research Scientist with McDonald Observatory, and the Science Operations/Deputy Facilities Manager for the Hobby-Eberly Telescope. He obtained his PhD in Astronomy and Astrophysics at the UC Santa Cruz, USA, in 1996. From 1996 to 1997 he was a research fellow at the European Southern Observatory in La Silla, Chile
